Villajoyosa organizes fishing week Cuina Marinera

VILLAJOYOSA – Villajoyosa is hosting the 26th edition of the Mostra de Cuina Marinera from June 8 to 14, 2026. 12 local restaurants will serve special menus during this week for a fixed price between 45 and 54 euros.
Fresh fish from the local fish auction, seafood and traditional rice dishes take center stage. The VilaGourmet catering association is organizing the event for the first time this year in conjunction with the municipality to promote local seafood cuisine.

Local seafood and set menus
Cuina Marinera is an important culinary event for Villajoyosa. Its purpose is to showcase maritime history and local seafood cuisine. Chefs combine classic preparations with modern cooking techniques.

Part of larger annual program
Fish Week is part of the event calendar La Vila Gastronómica 2026. Mayor Marcos Zaragoza and Tourism Alderman Rosa Llorca presented this program. The municipality uses local cuisine to boost tourism and the economy.
