Beaches in Albir, a complete overview
Albir is a small town on the Costa Blanca, known for its quiet character compared to busier resorts in the area. The place has a relaxed atmosphere and, in addition to a fine promenade, also offers a nicely stretched beach.
In this article you will read more about the beaches of Albir. We describe the characteristics of each beach, so you can find a suitable place for a nice day at the sea.
Albir’s beaches unfortunately do not have a blue flag.

1. Playa del Racó Albir
Playa del Racó Albir or Playa del Albir consists mainly of pebbles and stones, but offers clear water.

Calas in Albir
2. Cala del Amerador
Cala del Amerador is a beautiful, secluded cove in Albir, located some distance from the promenade, towards the lighthouse.
To get to this cove, it is best to enter Camà Vell del Far 17 in Albir into your navigation. Keep in mind that there are few parking spaces in this street. You can also park in the parking lot a little further down the road. You then have to walk back down the hill about 200 meters.
Access to Cala del Amerador is relatively easy. You walk a short distance along the garden of the apartments before descending some steep stairs.

3. Cala del Metge
Cala del Metge is a quiet cove in Albir, ideal for snorkeling because of its clear, crystal-clear waters.Access to the cove, unlike Cala del Amerador, is a bit more difficult.
After you park in the large parking lot, walk back down the hill a short distance to take the first exit. After about 50 meters you see that you can’t go any further.
To reach the bay, you have to walk through bushes on the right side. From here you follow the fence (consisting mostly of fences with green cloth) until you are rewarded with and beautiful view. From here you can descend to the bay.

4. Cala de la Mina
Cala de la Mina is a cove that can be reached when you take a walk to the Albir lighthouse. This cove is somewhat larger than the two calas described above.
To get to the bay you have to descend quite a bit. The path, consisting mainly of rocks and loose stones, is marked with white/yellow painted stripes.
