A total of 8,453,139 foreign tourists chose to vacation in the province of Alicante last year (half a million more than in 2024). They stayed in the region for an average of 9.8 days.

Shift in vacation activities
While the beach remains a major draw, it is no longer the only reason for a trip to the region. Visitors are increasingly showing interest in other activities. During a vacation on the Costa Blanca, visitors often choose these activities:

Rising spending per day
Changing preferences have a direct effect on vacation budgets. The average daily expenditure in the province of Alicante has increased to 138.4 euros.
Tourists who come specifically for sports (176 euros) or culture (150 euros) spend significantly more than the average beach visitor (137 euros).
